Good Faith Estimate for Counseling Services

You have the right to receive a "Good Faith Estimate" explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. This estimate is provided in accordance with the No Surprises Act, which requires health care providers to provide patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including counseling services.

This Good Faith Estimate is not a contract and does not require you to obtain services from this provider.

Description of Services and Standard Fees:

  • Initial Intake Assessment Session (60 minutes): $90

  • Ongoing Individual Therapy (55 minutes): $85

  • Ongoing Individual Therapy (45 minutes): $75

Sliding Scale:
Reduced fee options may be available based on financial need. If you qualify for the sliding scale, your fees may be lower than the standard rates listed on this estimate.

Frequency and Duration of Treatment:

Mental health treatment is highly individualized and may vary based on your unique needs, goals, and circumstances. It is difficult to predict the exact length or frequency of treatment at the outset. Clients begin with one diagnostic intake assessment session, followed by sessions ranging from 45 to 55 minutes each. Depending on client needs, these follow-up sessions typically occur weekly, biweekly, or monthly.

The following estimates include a full year of sessions to provide a maximum annual cost estimate. Counseling duration is determined on an individual basis and may be shorter in duration, therefore reducing the overall cost of services.

Weekly

1 intake assessment + 48 sessions (45 min) — $90 + (48 × $75) = $3,690

1 intake assessment + 48 sessions (55 min) — $90 + (48 × $85) = $4,170

Biweekly

1 intake assessment + 24 sessions (45 min) — $90 + (24 × $75) = $1,890

1 intake assessment + 24 sessions (55 min) — $90 + (24 × $85) = $2,130

Monthly

1 intake assessment + 12 sessions (45 min) — $90 + (12 × $75) = $990

1 intake assessment + 12 sessions (55 min) — $90 + (12 × $85) = $1,110
