My Approach

I provide a compassionate and supportive space using trauma-informed care with a person-centered existential approach — as well as a dose of humor when appropriate. This is your journey, and I want counseling to feel collaborative. Along the way, I encourage you to share freely so we can adjust our sessions to fit your goals and preferences.

Whether you're facing a crisis, seeking support through a difficult season of life or interested in improving your well-being, I will walk alongside you with empathy, insight, and care. We will work toward a deeper level of self-awareness — exploring authenticity, connection, freedom, and purpose while highlighting your strengths and empowering you with skills to use throughout your life.

Backstory

I grew up on the East Coast in Virginia, where I attended Virginia Tech to earn a bachelor’s degree in communication. After graduating, I moved to Texas and worked as an award-winning magazine editor.

Feeling compelled to help people find healing and growth through life’s many challenges, I attended Tarleton State University and graduated with a Master of Science in clinical mental health counseling. I work with preteens, adolescents, and adults in both individual and group settings. My experience includes supporting clients in private practice, as well as higher levels of care through inpatient, intensive outpatient (IOP) and partial hospitalization (PHP) programs.

More About Me

• I have ridden horses since I was 5 years old, and I won an American Paint Horse Association Reserve World Championship in 2015.

• I’ve checked off these bucket list adventures: hiking Mount Vesuvius in Italy, attending a concert on the USS Enterprise aircraft carrier in Virginia, snorkeling with sea turtles in Nassau, and skydiving in Idaho.

• In my spare time, I enjoy competitive dog agility, relaxing in nature, going on motorcycle road trips, baking, and paddleboarding.
